can men who have gential herpes have kids of their own?

Question:

Answers:
Of course they can!

Genital herpes does not affect the reproductive organs, unlike some other STDs. It won't cause a man (or women for that matter) to become sterile or infertile and has no affect on the sperm itself.

Genital herpes is RARELY passed down from the mother to the child during birth. I've read chances of a baby being born with herpes from the mother who has herpes is a less than 1% chance.
yes they can. they just want to make sure they are not having an outbreak, when they have sex with their partner. The child should be born with out gential herpes as long as the mother does not have herpes. I also researched and was told if a mother has a c section, that cuts down on the chance that the baby will be born with herpies.
