where exactly is your liver located and also?
Question:
Answers:
Your liver is right under your rib cage on the front right. There are many things that can cause pain in the area you're describing...ovaries, intestines, kidney, gallbladder...that's what makes diagnosing abdominal pain difficult.
If it becomes continuous and interferes with your ability to do things (like get up and walk) or you start running a fever over 101 you should be evaluated by a doctor.
Other Answers:
Your liver is located under your ribs on the right side. If you push midline of where your ribs end, it should be just under there.
Right sided pain above the right hip needs to be watched.
Make sure you don't have appendicitis
Kidney Stones
and UTI's
The appendix is close.
Your liver is under you right rib cage. There is a small lobe that extends below the ribs.
the liver is on the right, but higher up, just under your lungs and ribcage
your appendix is on the lower right
usually with appendicitis, a person has pain around the belly button area. its called "referred pain", but it's a hallmark of appendicitis
you may just have gas pains, they can hurt REAL bad
I don't think that's your liver. You're liver is near the last rib.
If it hurts in the back, it could be your kidneys. If it just hurts, it could just be cramps.
Your liver is located just below your rib cage on your right side.
Your pain location is too low for a liver problem. You might benefit by going to your doctor for an examination. It could be a number of things. But nothing that an amatuer in youqa.coms could diagnose.
The liver is located in the upper right-hand portion of the abdominal cavity, beneath the diaphragm, and on top of the stomach, right kidney, and intestines. Try this link for a complete diagram and further liverinformation: http://www.ohsuhealth.com/htaz/liver/the_liver_anatomy_and_functions.cfm
T'aint yer liver. the liver's higher up, near where your ribcage splits near the sternum. if you feel for where the diaphragm (the membrane, not the birthcontrol for the smart-alecs) and go just to the right of that, that's wehre your iver's at. Near as I can remember. It's been awhile since my medic training. I'm not a doctor mind ya, but if ya hurt, and it lasts, I'd make an appointment to see the pro.
the liver is mainly located on the right, under the right rib cage, but it does extend out towards the left.
Upper Right Quadrant Pain or URQ means usually that it is either the gallbladder or liver. Chances are if your having a gallbladder attack, it will come in waves of pain that will knock you crazy. If it is your liver, it will be more like a dull pain, not as sharp as the gallbladder attack.
The liver really doesn't have good nerve endings, so the pain you are feeling is actually the liver being inflammed and pressing on other organs such as the lungs.
Regardless, see your doctor. If it is the gallbladder, your not out of the woods as far as liver disease because in many cases, the gallbladder is a sign there is something wrong with the liver.
Don't take anything for the pain either until you've seen the doctor. If you have liver disease you might damage your liver further (although this rarely occurs with occassional use of persay, tylenol). Do not drink anything containing alcohol either.
Have the doctor test you for Hepatitis B and C, even if you feel you (or the doc) have any risk factors for HCV, because a normal lab test a lot of times do not show any indicative elevation in those with HCV (the ALT and AST levels).Best of luck to you.
You might have an inguinial hernia. You liver is up higher next to your stomache.
