whats the survival rate of women with node possitive breast cancer?
Question:
Answers:
The survival rate can be great with node positive breast cancer. It depends how many nodes were positive versus those that are negative. There are other factors involved than just node positivity though. There are what they call "Tumor Markers" that tell the physician how a persons specific tumor behaves. Depending on the result, will determine the type of treatment and how that cancer will react to it. I have seen several people have over a 10 year survival with node positive breast cancer and then those that don't. It just depends. I hope that helps.
Other Answers:
I had 11 of 29 nodes positive. Had a recurence 18 months later, but by the grace of God and some darn good doctors I'm still here. Hang in there, think positive and God bless!
