What could cause pain?

Question:
Everytime I breath deep or fully exhale, i get a horible pain in my side by my rib cage and then in my back. What could be the cause of this pain?

Answers:
Pain of this nature can be caused by many things from something as simple as a pulled muscle or cracked rib to something more serious like pleuritis (inflammation of the lining of your lungs) or other lung-related problems.

You should probably go get this evaluated by your doctor.

Other Answers:
Maybe you have a cracked rib.
i donno but you should probley go to the doctor
call a doctor
If it's a sharp pain then I would say that you have a rib out or going out of place... be carefull when you cough because when that sucker does go out you will feel like you will have to get better to be able to die!
Broken ribs, cancer, marlins flying through you and displacing implants, a bomb in your heart, etc.
maybe its because you breath bad air or dirty air go to a clean place and you cannot have that...besides it also happening to me!
Sounds like a cracked rib. If you've been doing and type of rigorous workout lately you could have possibly pulled a muscle(s) in your upper body region. If the pai is sever I reccomend yo usee a doctor. If its not too bad, try relaxing and if the pain is still there in a week, see a doctor.
It could be growing pains, I used to have them when I was younger. Then again it could be a muscle that was somehow tucked under a rib when it shouldn't be. Try moving around to release it.

~Good Luck~
i am no doctor but sounds maybe could be your lungs or sprained ribs?? i donno but you should see a doctor to make sure. you never know if it is serious
This is how I felt when I had a collapsed lung. If it doesn't go away with some over the counter meds, head to the ER for a chest Xray.
You should see a doctor. But it is possible you have a pulled or very tight muscle. This happens to me. I see a massage therapist regularly and it was my muscle. When I feel it setting in I do a lot of yoga stretching and it really helps.
something is definitely wrong with your lungs. go to the doctor right away! my brother had pains like yours and he did not care at first. he only went to the doctor when the pain got worst -- and its too late -- he got advance stage of lung cancer!
It could be a fracture in one of your ribs or a pulled muscle. The latter is the most common.
maybe pulled muscles or cracked ribs.
sounds like a cracked rib, tho there are other possiblities, like pluera dynia, plueral effusions etc...
