Has anyone ever had muscle meltdown after high impact excercise?


Question:
If my son plays for eg. a game of basketball the next day when he wakes he is unable to use his lower legs.He describes them as numb but if he tries to stand he describes it as pain.A big day of shopping will produce the same result .After approx 5-6 hrs he regains use again.Originally started when he was 5... 3 days after a virus.1 yr later to the month the same thing.Since then he has never had a virus or infection of anykind and he is now 14.He has been under 1 hospital now for nearly 7 yrs with no diagnosis.I have taken him to another hospital now in which they are doing testing for charcot marie tooth disease we go for results on the 19th of october. He suffers with headaches sleeps restlessly..is weight gaining due to lack of excercise (was told do the sport expect the pain) I just figure there must be someone in the world with the same problem.His label at the first hospital is the mystery child after countless bloods ,scans etc

Regular exercises are necessary for everyone. Untrained, unaccustomed or severe exercises can cause muscle aches, which is not to be mistaken for any disease. There are many genetic as well as inflammatory disorders which can cause sore muscles, but then the condition is commonly met with unaccustomed exercises. Hope for the best and let your son out for regular exercises so that he does not have similar pain when he is taken out for shopping.
