Does anybody know any one with Chrons Diesease?

Question:
also please tell me how they cope with it

Answers:
I have Crohns, relatively mildy most of the time luckily, although I did end up in hospital once after a severe flare up.
Excess alcohol seems to trigger a flare-up in my case, also some types of food but everyone is different. Stress can also be a factor and smoking aggravates the condition.
There is a national association for sufferers - the NACC. Their website address is nacc.org.uk. They send out newsletters with advice, latest treatments, diet ideas, letters from fellow sufferers etc.
If it is yourself that has it - you are definitely not alone and the disease can be managed with advice from your doctor, sensible eating or drugs and I wish you well.

Other Answers:
I took all the meds used to treat and the side effects were worse than the Crohn's, so I read about a study in Sweeden using fish oil capsules to treat. I've been doing this for 10 years and all my symptoms are gone. EPA fish oil available anywhere

Yes, my husband's cousin suffers. She's had lots of surgery and has been very, very ill throughout her life.

Having said that, she's now in her mid twenties, graduated university with a First and is very successful in her chosen career. She's also one of the loveliest people you could ever wish to meet and it's resolutely determined not to let her problems hold her back.

I have crohn's disease.I was diagnosed about 2 years ago. I had a mild to severe case with a fistula and everything. They put me on remicade which totally cleared me up and put me in remission. to deal with the stress and everything (since stress can cause crohns to act up) i pray, try to relax, and just do what makes me feel happyl. good luck, its not an easy disease to deal with. I have Crohn's. Have had it for 24 years, since I was 11 years old. Remicade was a miracle drug for me. Put me in remission and I no major flare-ups since then. There are several Crohn's boards on the internet. http://pages.prodigy.net/mattgreen/
is one but it's usually for younger people. I find they have a great sense of humor about it all, though, and that helps me.

Good luck with everything and email me if you have any specific questions or concerns.

yes i know 3 people with it one of which has chrones and ulcerative cholitis..
they all have taken the meds and the 2 with just chrones are now off them cause they cost too much but are both in remission.one has been for 7 years the other for about 2
and they cant eat certain really fatty or spicy foods A friends son has it, or should I say had it. With a patented vitamin and a pro/prebiotic combo he went into remission a few months ago and the lesions in his colon are almost fully healed.
