Your allergist can make a shot specific to YOUR needs.
First of all, you have to go to an allergy doctor and get tested to see what you are allergic to. Then he/she will know what shots to give you for it. The shots work very well.
First you would have to be tested for the allergies , and then the doctor decides what to give.
Allergy shots are tailored to exactly what you are allergic to. I get three each week. One is ragweed. One is trees and grasses. One is cats and dustmites.

It has made a huge difference in my life. I can actually enjoy fall.
it depends on the shot you get but they lower your immune system so you body will not react to the thing that is causing the allergy, they mostly help with the itching but they do start to lower your reaction you will normally get a prescription that will help more with the reaction.

i got the shot that is a steroid and got put on steroid pills, i did not have to go to a special Dr for one but because they did not know what the reaction was to they just gave me the shot for relief. if you are having a reaction and go to the Dr they will give you a shot that will lower the immune system, and if it dose not work then you go to a special Dr. but if it works you don't have to but you should
