strange bumps?

Question: My boyfriend yesterday had bumps on him that looked like a misquetto bite so we didnt think anything of it. Then with in a few hours there were more bumps. When he woke up this morning there were even more bumps and the ones he had from yesterday trippled in size some are as big as 3inchs long by 2 inches wide. The ones on his back are so swollen that his pours where the bumps are look like someone kept stabbing him with a knife. Hes had the chicken pox before so theses shouldnt be them. Can anyone else give me there input Thanks
