I need info on difficulty swallowing/sore throat. The doctor prescribed antibiotics but I still have pain.?

The last time I had "Tonsilitis" (don't know if the spelling is right) was when I was a kid, now I'm 25 and this is the second time I am having this problem this year. I took the antibiotics but I still experience pain. Anybody know what I should do? Oh, I take those throat losanges everyday but no effect.

Answers:
Stop taking the throat losanges. They may make you feel good now, but they tend to dry out the throat and make the problem worse. They definately don't seem to be curing you of anything.

If it keeps bothering you, go back to the doctor; you may have something besides strep throat, which would be the only thing antibiotics would work on.
