Dose use of wine/Alcohol helps to control type 2 diabetes?

Question:

Answers:
exactly the opposite.

if you heard that alcohol causes hypoglycaemia , you are mistaken. the hangover effects of alcohol are due to neuroglycopenia which means decreased sugar in the brain not the whole circulation.

a major cause of morbidity from d.m. is diabetic lypodystrophy ( abnormal fat metabolism associated with diabetes mellitus) the main charecteristics of which are
raised tryglycerides
decreased hdl (good) cholesterol .

although regular intake of small amounts of wine has been shown to raise hdl(good) cholesterol , the overall effect of alcohol is detrimental as it increases the triglycerides which have been linked to cardiovascular disease.

my advice :
take very small amount of wine (nothing stronger ) every day if you have too , but its better to avoid.

concentrate on trying to solve the root problem of diabetes which is burning the sugar by
strict regulation of food and diet
exercise exercise exercise exercise exercis
cant stress this enough.
(REMEMBER always have pieces of candy at hand when doing severe exercise to take as emergency lifesaver should your blood sugar go too low, especially if you are on insulin shots.)

Other Answers:
Not even remotely.

As alcoholic beverages break down in the body, they spike the blood sugar levels. Which makes the diabetic person need to up their insulin level to return their blood sugar to normal. You end up doing this dangerous game of catch-up. It isn't worth risking your health. Diabetes isn't something to mess around with.

The last thing you need is alcohol if you're a diabetic, period.

Alcohol is liquid sugar! glyconutrients will not alchohol
