Occasional dull pain left side, behind ribs,4"below armpit, usually during the day, not at night?

Question: the ache is not severe and comes and goes,shortness of breath occassionally.

Answers:
I had this problem three yrs ago and had many test finally ,went toa gastrologist he did a simple blood test and diagnosis it as nash disease. it 's caused by high levels of emzynes in the liver and hence pain.
