How long after you come in contact with the herpes virsus is it before you have an outbreak?

Question:
I know that there is a wide range of time but I mean on average how long after you come in contact with how long is it on average before you have your first out break.

Answers:
Just because you come in contact with the herpes virus DOES NOT mean that you will have an outbreak or even get herpes.

What you do need to do is take extra percaution by getting a test done in the next few to several weeks. You need to ask for a herpes specific test, you can't just ask for a general std test as they most likely wont test for herpes.

If you have an outbreak GENERALLY (and you said it right when you said that there's a wide range) it will surface within weeks to a couple of months of contact.

There are a lot of doctors and nurses that are not very educated on this subject. I have a friend who's doctor fed her all sorts of nonsense regarding herpes, it was after she did some research online (there was a specific site she went but I don't know what it was called, you might try a search) she found out that there's a lot that was unknown by her doc.

Just got off the phone with her, westover heights I think is what she said the company was called.

Good luck!
