did you know coffe helps azma?

Question:

Answers:
Coffee or another highly caffeinated drink will temporarily help if you are having a mild asthma attack. It helps the brochial tubes to dilate slightly which allows for easier breathing. It is only temporary though and you should use your medication to completely treat the symptoms.

coffee. helps asthma.
Yeah, it helps mine if I'm having a mild attack or my chest is just feeling tight. I hate using my inhaler cause it makes me jittery so I use caffeine first for very mild symptoms.

Caffeine is a bronchodialator as far as I've heard. I have no source to quote on this, though.

For serious asthma cases coffee takes too long to work. You need an emergeny inhaler.
Yes, like everyone else has said..Coffee is a bronchodilator..well not just coffee.caffeine..So, if someone is having a mild attack and they don't have their inhaler close by then coffee can help ease the symptoms, but I wouldn't count on that being my only means of asthma control.

If you have asthma and you don't have an inhaler I would talk to your physician..they may prescribe you one..or tell you of a good OTC inhaler to pick up in your local drug store..

I'm not really sure if they even still have those OTC ones anymore though..because I know someone died before from using one..so I am not sure.but yeah..coffee CAN help.but I wouldn't depend on it to save my life if I was having a real ashtmatic crisis..

Good Luck
