I have gone with several minutes to several hours.

But when I changed my work environment, I went from 10-15 episodes a day to 10-15 a year and that is only if I have a cold or something.

Use your emergency inhaler. If you get no relief, call an ambulance, they should have a nebulizer on board and if that does not work, they can get you to a hospital. Don't panic. It will only make it worse.

well, the length of as atshma attack depends on the sevaraty and how quickly you use your inhaler. i have had asthma attacks lasting frim a couple of minutes to 3.5 hours

that strictly depends on the person, what caused the attack, how severe the attack is and how quickly inhalers or nebulizers are utilized.
