Has anyone used Lamisil tablets for their nails? Did they work? Did the problem ever come back?
Question:
Answers:
I used Lamisil about 9 months ago (around September through December) and the results were amazing! My fingernails are absolutely perfect now. It took a couple of months before I started seeing some change (particularly in the fingers that weren't too horrible), and the nails that were kind of nasty looked totally healed within about 4 months. I am so sorry I didn't do it sooner! However, make sure you take the full series of blood tests before and during your treatment. Lamisil is kind of rough on the liver, so you don't want to permanently damage one body part to make another one look good!
Other Answers:
Yes, it does work...give the nail some time to grow out and you will see the difference.
Lamisil comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day for 6 weeks for fingernail fungus and once a day for 12 weeks for toenail fungus.
I have not used it for myself but I can answer your question based on my experience. It did work in most of the patients I know who has been prescribed and used it compliantly. There are also few patients which it was ineffective. After a month of treatment some differences have seen and a complete difference was seen after 3 months or maybe longer. After the treatment and a new nail has grown very rare reported to have the same problem after sometime. Its effectivity percentage is high and it is worth to have a try.
