I had to get tested once a year in the Navy, but now I won't bother. I've only been with my husband and he with me;)
If you are having any kind of sex you should get tested, this is your life for god's sake!
I think its very important. There's nothing wrong with being sure and I think anyone who is sexually active should get tested regularly
Very strongly for it.
Whether or not it's a biggie - nowadays its essential! And all the other nasties too. they can do serious damage if not checked for.
100%
In the military it's mandatory to get tested every year. I didn't and don't see the big deal. First and foremost, I don't sleep around period! Sure, there are other ways to contract HIV, but sexual contact is the most common.
personally i feel that if you are at risk for having it then you really need to get checked. because if you dont then you are taking a chance at giving somebody you love hiv and plus it kills people, not right away but it does kill you.
I think it is important if your planning to have sex
I got tested once. I only sleep with my wife, So I think I'm safe. Unless she is cheating. But I don't suspect that.
i think that it is the single most important part of any healthy sexual relationship. 1 out of every 3 people that have HIV don't know they have it. it's all about RESPONSIBILITY. people HAVE to have the responsibility to test themselves and encourage, no, MAKE their partner get tested. it is a horrific way to live and it causes so much pain and suffereing in not only the patient, but their families. my dad died of AIDS when i was 10 - about 12 years ago, and it changed my life forever. watching him die was the worst and most painful thing i have ever had to watch and i wish that death on not even my worst enemy. GET TESTED. SAVE A LIFE.
I dont think its big thing because its the right thing to do to get tested because you are putting your life at risk and the people you love or sleep with at risk, its awful when you have to be in pain but its also best to know if you have HIV so that way you can try and treat it, if its possible.
It's extremely important, because it can have an asymptomatic dormant period that can last for years -- ten years is not unheard of. Also, if it is discovered, antiretroviral meds allow an essentially normal life; it is no longer a death sentence.
Get tested!
it's depend if u do something stupid if not then just know who u sleep with .
IF YOU HAVE HAD UNPROTECTED SEX AND HAVE BEEN WITH MORE THAN ONE MAN HAVE THE TEST IMMEDIATELY WHILE THERE IS STILL A CHANCE YOU CAN GET ON THE MEDICATIONS THAT CAN PROLONG OR EVEN SAVE YOUR LIVE.BE SMART, NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU LOVE OR KNOW THE PERSON YOU ARE WITH HE OR SHE MAY BE INFECTED AND NOT EVEN KNOW IT..IF YOU GET INVOLVED WITH SOMEONE, INSIST THEY HAVE THE TEST ALSO...

I HAVE SEEN THE RAVAGES OF HIV AND AIDS SINCE I LIVED IN AFRICA FOR A LONG TIME. SOUTH AFRICA USED TO BE NUMBER ONE WITH THE AMOUNT OF THIS HORRIBLE DISEASE, NOW NUMBER ONE IS INDIA.... BE SMART, DONT DIE
Yes it is a biggie, I had an uncle when I was growing up that I just adoared: to my fathers regret. My uncle Kenneth was gay when gay was not cool. I think that if testing would have been avaliable back then maybe he would still be around. I miss him.
I'm fortunate that I have been in a monogamous relationship with my dear husband for 20 years. If I were in a situation where I was at risk I would most certainly get tested. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
if you have to get a complete physical and you want the job, then people shouldnt have any objections of getting tested. if you join the military, then you HAVE to get an AIDS test among other things
i feel that it's very important. an essential in a long term relationship
