I had an attack of ulcerative colitis about 20 years ago.The Dr made me take citrucel 3 times a day. It took a while to feel a difference but I haven't had a bout since then.
I have had UC since I was diagnosed in 1995 at age 23. There are lots of support groups like the Chrohns and Colitis foundation of America and the J-pouch support group for people that have had surgery. Some of the links are below. Good Luck!
