The most common symptoms of diabetes are excessive urination and thirst. Other symptoms include general fatigue, dry "cotton" mouth and, of course, a high blood glucose level.
My aunt had it and she was always thirsty for water. I'm sure there are others but that is what she complained about
The symptoms vary from person to person. sores that don't heal, extreme thirst that can't be quenched, exhaustion, in extreme cases a person can appear to be drunk when really their blood sugar is low if your not sure - check with your doctor
Type 1 diabetes usually has obvious symptoms such as increased thirst, frequent urination and weight loss.

Type 2 often does not show symptoms right away which is why it goes unnoticed at frist. People with type 2 diabetes often are not diagnosed for 4-7 years after the onset of the disease. It is recommended that people over 45 get tested regularly.

symptoms of diabetes are endless thirst (thristy all the time and you dont seem to get enough water even though you can drink anymore, frequent urination, (not just because you drank a lot of water) when your blood sugar is really high you itch like crazy under your skiin and all over, dizzy or light headed, blurred vision, restless, insomnia, night sweats, headaches, dry mouth you are prone to yeast infections because the sugar that spills over in your urine reacts with the PH in your nether regions and makes you itch a lot down there. There are a lot more symptoms it could go on and on
The thing to keep in mind is that you can have diabetes and have NO symptoms. I was discovered to be diabetic only after I got a skin infection that got very bad quickly. Diabetes can make it harder to heal from an infection, and my doctor decided he'd better test me. Bingo. :-( But otherwise, who knows how long I might have gone without knowing it.

If you have any concerns at all, a diabetes test is quick an easy. Your doctor can do it right while you are in the office. Good luck.
