I have been diagnosed with emphasema about 11/2 years ago?

I noticed a severe swelling in my right hand and toes, right and left foot. Just wondered if the emphysema could have caused this? If anyone could help please let me know.

I have a lung condition similar to emphysema - not likely the cause of your swelling, but you are fortunate to be able to do strenuous activity with emphysema. Your swelling is more likely related to blood flow restriction or swelling from fluid retention that has many causes. Your symptoms may be caused by a variety of conditions, and you should see your doctor ASAP.
i also have emphysema and copd. and am on oxygen if you still smoke PLEASE STOP NOW. i don't think that the swelling is associated with the disease. i have no swelling any where but do have rapid weight loss.
if you are diagnosed with emphysema, you shouldn't be doing all these work because your lungs are going to work harder, and so is your heart -- which can result to heart failure eventually if you don't give your heart a rest.
severe swelling in your right hand, toes, right and left foot. hmm. when you say right hand -- the whole hand or just the fingertips? because among people diagnosed with COPD, they have a condition called "digital clubbing" : digits = fingers/toes, clubbing = appearance of round figer tips (also bigger than normal) so that could be one thing that you're seeing right now. they call it "clubbing" because they look like "golf clubs" -- is that what you see right now? this is pretty common among people who are oxygen impaired. so if whatever i describe above is what you have, then yes, emphysema caused this.
but i still suggest against your strenuous job -- this can cause further problems in the future.
