SQ-Pen for insulin injection.??
Question:
Answers:
Hello, my daughter uses the SQ-pen, like you she needs it 4 times a day, she said its the best pen she has ever had, and it doesn't leave a bruise, I would also contact your local diabetic association, they might know where you could buy one cheaper than on the net.
Other Answers:
my mother uses an sq-pen it works by using pressure to force insulin thru the skin. ever watched star trek the original thats whre they got the idea. no pain you feel pressure like a strong puff of air. it is quite expensive but worth it if you are needlephobic like my mom.
I too saw that. I also have seen that type of delivery device make a big, deep cut into another person's arm when he wiggled at the same moment he was given the shot. It's high pressure and you have to remain still. Since you are the one pressing the trigger, it may be ok as you know then it's happening. But for me, I use the Click pen for Lantus and Flexpen for Novalog. Quick and "mostly" painfree.
