Quit having unprotected sex.simple as that. It is rarely transmitted in other ways any more.

Look. HIV can only be prevented by you. The community cannot make people have safe sex. or use protection. This is one of those things that people are going to have to take responsibility for themselves and be smart and safe.
Education is key.
Education, condoms and more education and reality checks. African American heterosexuals are the fastest growing (not the most infected but fastest growing) community spreading HIV now and it's because of the enormous stigma that's attached to it.

Avoid illegitimate sex totally. If you are in dire need, use protectives, as a precaution.

stop having promiscouis sex, stop having unprotected promisciuous sex, stop having anal sex, stop having HIV/AIDS blood transfusions, stop sharing sex toys (fastest growing reason of transmission) dont fight with people who have aids, dont share razors, toothbrushes, mouthwash, needles, drugs, snorting devices, or any thing that could possibly have blood on it. Oh yeah dont share sex toys. this would cover most new cases except infected mothers giving birth to children.
