How do I get rid of boils?

I get them periodically, usually on the back of my head. Is there a way to get rid of them for good?

There is no proven way to get rid of them for good.

There are creams you can purchase at the drug store, one is called boil ease. But seeing this is on the back of your head you might not want to use it in your scalp area. Then you may.

Most effective way to bring them to a head is to use hot compresses. Once you have released the pressure of it you need to make sure you keep it clean until it heals.

Since they are in your head, I would say see a dermatologist. They will most likely lance them and drain them and take the "bag" out. If you don't get the whole thing out and pack them they will close back over and come back.

You will probably need an antibiotic as well.

I kept getting them for a while and had a round of antibiotics prescfibed by my doctor....havent got them for a while now.
