Is it POSSIBLE for a SEXUALLY ACTIVE couple for 1 to test positive for CHLAMYDIA and the other to test negativ

Question:
We dated for about 11 mths. we went to get urine tests for chalamydia at the health clinic on our 10 mth together. he tested positive for chalmydia and i tested negative. i was on my period also when they took the urine test. how is this possible.

Answers:
It is possible for one to get the disease and the other to not have it. Also, being on your period would not affect the outcome of the urine test because your urine and menstral blood come from two different holes. Your immune system may have fought the infection and you did not get it or he may not have passed it to you yet.

Other Answers:
Well, it does sound like someone's been messing around.
this happens all the time with all types of std's. u should consider urself lucky. the way it happens was easy. sometimes stds are simply not transmitted. there are a bunch of factors that go into transmitting diseases. lukily for u they all didnt click. try getting tested monthly in the future.
You need to re test. Menstral cycles cause false readings a lot of times. If you use condoms with him- you may not have contracted it. Which means he had it before you met or he has been somewhere recently. Men can have it and not know.
