Has anyone had cervical fusion surgery at Mayo, Rochester? What was your experience?

Have substantial narrowing of spinal canal at c5-6 and c6-7 with two protruding disks and spondylosis. Cord compression. Two rear-end colliions, one high speed and one by very large commercial vehicle

I've had the surgery done. Not at Mayo, but by the top-best surgeon in Mid west.
I had a drunk driver slam into me. I tried every type of therapy before I did this. They did a discectomy and had a donor bone fused in, Coincidentally it was the C-6/ C-7. The surgery was dangerous, but successful for about 3 years. The area has now been corroded with arthritis It is more painful than before the surgery. If I could turn back time, I would not have done this, unless it was a life or death situation.
