Answers:
looks like IBS. not colon cancer hopefully. tumors grow slowly and won't give any symptoms until they are large enough and it also depends where it is located. bleeding in the stool, abdominal pain and frequent bowel movements are symptoms. in most cases, it takes about 5 years to progress to cancer unless inherited of course. you need to have it checked asap to confirm if it's IBS and how bad it is. only your doctor can do the assessment. don't wait for it to get worse. even mild IBS needs treatment to manage it.
First of all, you don't have colon cancer. The youngest reported case of primary colon cancer was in a patient 27 years of age. So, unless you think you're breaking world records, you don't have colon cancer. I should warn you though, that by the time one sees blood in their stool, the colon cancer is ADVANCED, and far less likely to respond to treatment, so when you are older--GET CHECKED BEFORE THERE IS BLOOD, get checked regularly!

Diareah is a very common problem. Everyone has it at some point in their lives, MOST people experience it once a month or so, and some people have chronic diareah. You are likely not eating consistant amounts of fiber. Your diet plays the biggest role in this.

Your cramping could indicate other medical problems, though. Some cramping is normal with diareah, but chronic cramps could signal an obstruction of some sort, which could be serious. Yes, you need to go to the doctor, and the exam won't be painful or invasive.
Look at your age mate! Well, I wont rule out cancer completely, but that will be my last diagnosis. Do you have a family history of bowel cancer?
Its more likely to be a manifestation of lactose intolerance than a cancer. IBS is also less likely at this age.
