what other tests besides lumbar puncture can be used to diagnos ms?

i recently had a lumbar puncture which ruled out ms and lymes disease-prior to this i had 2 brain mris with and without contrast-an mra,also a cervical spine mri,vision tests for ms-all were negative-yet symptoms persist-vertigo,muscle tics-blurred vision headaches-i was also tested for inner ear prob-also negative-any help please--thanks

my husband is going through the same thing and we have been told that it can take several year before there is any change to myelin which is the main change for ms. there are so many other disease that are similar to ms it is not funny we are still wait for a diagnosis. Your best bet is to get a 2ND opinion and ask lots of question. lumbar puncture and MRI are the only test which rule out ms. but you might have to have several MRI before any thing will show up
