I have a weird leg cramp that's worse tonight - - should I worry? It's keeping me up :-(!?

Question:
It feels vaguely circulatory. I first noticed it sitting in a lecture in a cramped desk a couple weeks ago - - - since then it's come and gone - - not major pain really but it feels vaguely circulatory, like a kink in a hose. Tonight it's annoying the crap out of me. I am in my 20s and pretty overweight, but have no other hallmark signs of DVT or anything.should I worry? If so, how soon should I see a doctor?

Answers:
youir body could be low on potassium and or magnesium. a pinch of espson saltz or 1 /4 glass of tonic water will stop the craps!

Other Answers:
it might be nothing, but just to be sure. see a doctor. i'm no doctor, but it might be a clot or something.

If I were you I would be seeing a Doctor..DVT can only be detected with Ultra Sound.Do not take chances You should try taking some aspirin and also maybe even doing some leg stretches. Sounds like muscle pain. Try stretching for a few minutes each day and work your way up. Even going out for a little walk is good. You can help circulation by doing light exercises. Just moving is good and will help with the cramps. If you start to cramp the best thing is to massage it or have someone else massage it for you. Good Luck!

Never hurts to be checked out for a blood clot. I would call my doctor for advice.

could be a blood clot very dangerous i recommend a hot water bottle even if it is a shampoo bottle filled with hot water and leg elevation dehydration can cause blood clots or sitting too long or even tight socks (eating peas is recommended). if you have vericosed vein pain then put witch hazel on a wash cloth and press it up aganst the area for relief

reading of herb books and talking to people about their ailments

do this relaxing exercise
lie straight on bed or floor fold Ur legs from knee n hug them tight to u'r chest
then lie straight again take one leg up in right angle to u'r body by supporting with u'r hands from thigh behind. now move u'r foot towards n away from u'r body without moving leg. it'll give very cramp like feeling in thigh .
repeat with another leg n then again hug u'r legs by holding them from knees.
all the best

Go see a doctor as soon as possible. There are several circulatory conditions that you might have. The rule is,whenever a pain keeps you up,or wakes you up,get medical attention.
