ive heard its because the membrane that surrounds your lungs rubs up against another membrane layer, but i dont know if thats true or not. i know what you mean though, i get that a lot too. i just suck air in really fast and kind of feel a pop then it doesnt hurt anymore. i dont think its anything serious, and i know its not angina or a heart attack as some of the other answerers are saying.
