the soles of my foot at fatty part (at toes), it feels like I am walking on something foreign?

Question:
inside that part of the foot and the toe next to the big toe feels part numb one side also. It is not numb but just walking makes it feel that way. This came on suddenly without injury. I waited for it to go away, now the other foot is affected the same way. Both feet have very slight swelling there now. Today, pressure there can cause a tingly feeling if pressed and gone when released. Anyone experieince this or know what this is? I cant afford to go to a foot doc if it is a nerve problem to see a neuro for, or if it is diabetes related, I just dont know. Do you know if reflexology would help? HELP!!TY for all answers

Answers:
Do you have a general practioner? Often they can at least point you in the right direction. Also, many insurances will cover "specialists" if you have a referral from your family doctor.

On a side note, I had a similar problem once and I couldn't figure out what started it, until I realized that unconsciously I was placing my feet on the bottom of my computer chair when I sat down to type. It was causing "welts" that would get tingly when I walked. Took me about three days to figure out what I was doing to cause it. Then I felt like an idiot. ;)

it could be diabetes realated I dont know I am not a doctor but I would definatly see both a foot doctor and a MD to discuss the problem

You need to find a clinic that offers health care on a sliding fee scale. If you have diabetes, you might be experiencing neuropathy. This is nothing to play with, you must seek care now! It is better to get into debt to preserve your feet rather than getting into debt as a process of losing your toes or feet. See a doctor!

You may have a bone spur, I understand that it is not uncommon to have pieces of bone floating around in our bodies, when they land in a place that is noticable it feels like there are tiny rocks between the bone and our skin.

Go to the doctor now!! If can become more costly if you delay.

Your symptoms are nerve related, specifically spinal problems. You don't want to play with your ability to walk do you? Sounds like it could be nothing or it could be something. We don't know. But we all do doctor ourselves at first so why not give an anitinflammatory a shot. I had a similar problem with one foot. It was named "neuroma" by my foot doc. anti-inflammatories helped so much. Aspirin or advil will do the same. If not better in 3 or 4 days go to your doc.
