Prediabetes shouldn't be taken lightly. It means that you're at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke.
Prediabetes doesn't have to become type 2 diabetes. With healthy lifestyle changes, you can bring your blood sugar back to normal levels.
Often, prediabetes has no signs or symptoms. But it's important to watch for the classic red flags of type 2 diabetes — excessive thirst and frequent urination.
Other signs and symptoms of type 2 diabetes may include:
Constant hunger
Unexplained weight loss
Weight gain
Flu-like symptoms, including weakness and fatigue
Blurred vision
Slow healing of cuts or bruises
Tingling or loss of feeling in hands or feet
Recurring gum or skin infections
Recurring vaginal or bladder infections
Keep an eye on these conditions.
God be with you.
are skin (white spot on some body parts-vitiligo)related medicines if taken for a long time, harmful?
becareful your heading for type 2
and watch your self very closely.
watch the changes in your blood numbers and watch your feet.
your feet can say alot about your diabetes, like if you have sores or get an opne wound and cann heal fast then your heading for BIG and even BIGGER problems.
i should know because i lost my little toe on my right foot.
ask your doctor about foot care and your blood numbers.

I have the flu I think how long should I let the diarrhea go before I get concerned?
anything over 140 after a meal is not good. it puts you at a high risk. Try to eat right, and try to do as you are told by your doctor. You might be able to get off the meds if you do. They do an A1c test and that tells what the sugars range over a 3 month period. If you have that done, then the next time you go to have it done, it is very possible that you can go off the meds and do it by diet and exercise alone. It depends if you are type one or type two.. type one's will have to stay on meds, type 2, has a chance.. I am type 2 and was on metformin, 1000 mg 2 times daily, for a while, but am now doing it without meds.. it is really up to you and how closely you can follow the doctors orders and your eating habits, good luck..
HELP ASAP. how do you get diabetes type 2?
Have you ever had a glucose tolerance curve with a fasting blood sample AND another sample 2 hours after a 75 glucose load?
Metformin is used to increase sensitivity to insulin, right. But try to exercise and diet first, not every prediabetic needs to start with medication. Take care.
