All the people who answered condoms above me are misinformed..... At their best, condoms only offer up to 85% protection with perfect usage from HIV. that means you still have a 15% chance of contracting HIV - which is a disease that will take away your life. thats pretty risky.
the only way to be 100% safe from contracting HIV (or any other sexually transmitted diseases is abstinance from sex and all sexual activities. you will never have a 100% chance of no bad consequences any other way.
