It's a sensory peripheral neuropathy.
Spinal cord injury - herniated disc, bulging disc, etc.
Diabetic neuropathy
Vitamin B-12 deficiency anemia (pernicious anemia)
I'd see a doctor (neurologist) if the problem persists.
