Answers:
Robert, I'm not a doctor only an educated patient who has had alot of experience with fluids and thyroid. It sounds to me like you have possibly acquired lymphedema. Has anyone mentioned that possibility to you? With surgeries, there is trauma to the lymph system and sometimes they even sever nodes. If you had any radiation if your surgery was for cancer, then I would say it could be very possibly you have lymphedema. Read up on my website below and if this sounds like you, please send me a note and we can go from there to get you help. I won't go into a long answer here as there's not alot of space.

Wow, something went wrong, do back to the doctor.
It may be due to low thyroid hormones in your system. I think you should go see your doctor. He may increase the dosage of your medication and that will eventually help your weight problem as well. Good luck.
Could be something wrong with your lymph nodes, maybe? You should definitely see a doctor as soon as possible!
Well hopefully you are getting concurrent TSH tests. If you are currently Hypothyroid now that could be causing your weight problems. For the swelling in your arm, I'm unsure, but it seems that there would be some vascular situation there. I don't know if you are on Synthroid or possibly another thyroid medication, but thyroid problems can affect many problems with your body. Deffinately call your doctor to voice your concern.
