What causes Asthma?
Question:
Answers:
Another name for Asthma is the phrase reactive airway disease. It's basically a form of an allergic reaction in your lungs. Your lungs become sensitive to certain pollutants such as pollen, dander, or just random stuff in the air. When you're exposed to these pollutants again, a chain reaction goes off in your lungs which includes the release of chemicals like histamine, leukotrienes, and acetylcholine. These pretty much all act to close off your lungs which results in the shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing. The medications you take for asthma such as bronchodilators all help to reverse these effects, and steroids are very useful to prevent the inflammation. If you're concerned that you have asthma or have further questions, please consult your physician.

The cause of Asthma is unclear so it is a multifactorial condition. Asthma can be induced by exercise in 70% to 90% of patients. It can be easily triggered by "body temperature changes". You need to wear 100% cotton clothings & underwears to avoid sweat trapping and thus, changes in body temperature. Many others things that trigger asthma can be dusts, fungus, hormones, drugs (aspirin, antibiotics), foods (cheese, milk, egg, chocolat, peanuts, shell fish, tomatoes, strawberries to name a few), irritant inhalants (paints, tobacco smoke, air pollutants, etc) and even stress. It can get worse as it may be realted to auto-immune conditions (hypersensitivity).
Dr. Batmanheldi in his book, "Your not sick, your thirsty. Your bodies many cries for water" suggests many of our health problems are due to lack of hydration. He points out that the lungs have postules that have a small amount of water in them that help us breathe. The brain takes first priority over water consumption and when the body is dehydrated, the brain will start pulling water from less essential areas. When the brain takes the water from the lungs, it will close up the lungs to reserve water. Try drinking half your body weight in ounces of water, ex: 150lbs = 75 ounces daily.
The kind of water can make a difference as well. The cluster size of water needs to be small enough to get into the cells and hydrate. Tap water and most bottled water do not do that. Try a bottled water from the health food store like Penta or Smart water. They are expensive. You can make you own for less though with a treatment system.
