Emotions can reflect behaviour. You see with young kids they can be calm, one minute, bouncy the next or just tearing the place down screaming. If you can imagine it. If you had an empty bottle. In your hand you had love or anger or hate or fear or sarcasm or love (hey you can never have enough) and pour one of those into the bottle then someone will represent that. If you mix say anger and hate or love and hate then depending on the ratio it could result in challenging behaviour. Absolutely. You have to remember as well, emotionally some people are on a completely different level to others. A completely different level. Some people are more needy, some people are more independent, some people like sleeping around, some people obsess about finding 'the one'. Who is me btw.c'mon now. But serioously all this, every emotion, all the stress, all the love, hate in the day, week, year, lifetime all mix together into that empty bottle and then we wait to see how the individual deals with what they're facing.

Is the question "Is challenging behaviour the result of emotions?"
Could be, if someone has not learnt to own their emotions, such as with children. Then, challenging behaviour could be the result of abuse. Or it could be the result of a chemical iimbalance, or brain damange.
