Why does everyone seem to be developing terrible acne, and what can be done about it?

Question:
I find it odd when I look around at peoples' faces and see all ages from 0- 90 with strange pimples all the time. Even celebrities on T.V. What is causing this and how can it be stopped. It makes me really sad. Is this some kind of pandemic of skin disease?

Answers:
Use Proactiv. That's what I have.
I know what you mean. I see older people with acne scars all over their face because they didn't see a dermatoligist when they were younger. It's not pretty. I seriously hope it can not lead to skin disease.

Other Answers:
signs of an unhealthy lifestyle. Too much oily fast food, sugar drinks and a lack of excersize.

I stopped drinking coca cola and eating fast food and now my skin is clear.

Unfortunately, most prefer to medicate the problem than remove the source.
I'm pretty sure my skin is clear, thanks though!

Bad eating habits: junk food, fast food, sodas are at fault.
Stress: Just looking at the evening news can sprout a pimple or two
Contamination: Clogs the pores causing acne.
Stress is a contributing factor and and can make the skin to break out into pimples.
