why and when,do rhabdomyolisis develop,in an ischemic extremity?

Question:
do the lack of use of heparin ,in the first 8 hours"golden hours",is the cause, lag in diagnostic, procedure and invasive technics in a community hospital impinge in the trsherous ending in a 42 year old female

Answers:
Tough question. By the time rhabdomyolysis occurs there is a lot of damage to the extremity. The damaged muscle crumbles up and gets taken into the blood stream. It circulates around and gets trapped by the kidneys. If there has been a lot of damaged muscle the circulating remnants can clog up the kidneys and you can get kidney failure. This can take a while to cure. I hope things are getting better for your friend. Did they figure out why she got the rhabdomyolysis in the first place?
