What are the advantages of water pills? Do they make you lose weight?
Question:
Answers:
The use of water pills will not address the root of your weight loss problems. In addition, your body would lose a very important electrolyte, potassium, which is vital to your body's metabolic functions. In order to understand the cause of weight gain, make note of
an acid pH has considerable influence over the majority of weight problems. Here's what happens when a system is too acid. A condition known as Insulin Sensitivity or Syndrome X results, which forces too much insulin to be produced, and the body is flooded with insulin so that it won't waste any calories, it diligently converts every calorie it can into fat.
It is thought that an acid pH immediately signals the powerful genetic response to an impending famine, directly interacting with the all important and very sensitive, Insulin- Glucagons Axis. This makes the body produce more insulin than usual, and in turn, produce more fat and store it. In general, the more insulin is available to the body, the higher the probability that fat will be produced and stored, rather than used and burned as energy.
Conversely, a healthy, slightly alkaline pH, will be more likely to yield normal fat burning metabolic activity, making no demands on the body to overly produce insulin and make fat, allowing fat-weight to be burned and naturally lost. And, with a healthy pH, there's less likely to be any yo-yo effect, or rebounding from a diet with additional weight gain.
To reverse the acidity in our body systems, we have to drink 8 glasses of water daily (preferably distilled water which has a pH of 7.0, in other words, it is alkaline). However, if you really want to alkalize your system faster and thus get rid of those unwanted fat forever, you can mix Xtreme x2o (a coral calcium mineral complex, all natural and organic, with 70 trace minerals in a teabag satchet) which has a pH of 9.9 when mixed in distilled water. There is no other high quality beverage out there today that offers the highest alkaline drink than Xtreme x2o.
For your info, overweight problem is only the tip of the iceberg. There are 150 other degenerative diseases (such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer and so on) that are linked with increasing acidity of our digestive system. Research says that these degenerative diseases have a direct link to a highly acidic digestive system that has been so for many, many years. If your long term health is important to you, wouldn't you want to know what your pH is through a saliva test? Wouldn't you want to have a pH that reads 7.45 or more,
that means "alkaline" (opposite of "acidic", pH is below 7.0)? Wouldn't you want to find out more about getting your digestive system to become alkaline thru Xtreme x2o
drink? If you answer yes to the above questions, check the following website:

you may lose a few pounds, but you may also lose potassium, which could be dangerous.
I take them not only to loose weight but because I have a build up of water around my heart. They do help you to loose water weight but you have to be careful because the more you release water the more potassium you loose so if you take water tablets please get a potassium supplement to take with them so you don't damage your heart and long term use of water tablets can damage your kidneys also.
NO! never use water pills to lose weight. You need water for the body to function properly.
In fact drink more water and flush out your system.
drinking cold icey water helps to keep you from getting hungry on your diet.
They only help your kidneys excrete excess water. What you NEED is help with excess FAT. They're two different things.
Water pills will not help with fat. Therefore, they will not help with your weight problem.
Only if you want to loose water weight and have it return when you drink again. The only way to truly loose weight is to watch what you eat, exercise 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes, and change your lifestyle. Oprah has a bunch of diet stuff on her site.
