What causes chronic sinus tachycardia?

Question:
Also experience anxiety and panic attacks. Could I have MVP?

Answers:
PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN TO VK! I Have tachycardia and have had to deal with it since 1997, at least that is when it was diagnosed, and it has to do with your sinus node , your hearts electrical system. It is usually treated with beta blockers that have to be taken daily to slow and strengthen the heart. If the problem continues, then there is a procedure called cardiac ablation that will "burn" all of your bad electrical path ways and usually your cured!!

Other Answers:
GENERALLY THE CHRONIC TACHYCARDIA IS BECAUSE OF THE LIFE STYLE AND THE POOR FOOD HABITS. life style includes your daily stress level and how much time you give for exercise and how much active are you in society. if you are obese meanse eats a lot of fast food and drink and smoke you are more prone for the tachycardia.
Sedentary life,Anxiety attacks, Excessive smoking, Bouts of alcohol and Thyroid hyperfunction cause Sinus tachycardia.
Please see the webpages for details on Ventricular Tachycardia and Mitral Valve Prolapse. Consult your doctor.

your anxiety and panic attacks already answers your question. "sinus tachycardia" simply means increased (normal) Heart rate. it sounds too serious doesn't it? Chronic means repetitive. if you're experiencing panic attacks and anxiety all the time -- then that's why your heart rate is increasing.

here's a funny story regarding "Sinus Tachycardia" (whooo. scary) people are weirded out whenever they take my blood pressure. they take my heart rate before taking the blood pressure -- it's around 65. they take my blood pressure (which is usually on the low side) but my heart rate goes up to 150 in just 5 seconds. why? because whenever they inflate the cuff, it hurts so much and that makes my heart rate go up. i can even feel my chest pounding.
