What drugs are most effective in treating Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

Question: I am currently taking Dicetel 3 times a day (pentavarium bromide or something like that), and it doesn't seem to be helping. I still wake up with pain every morning, and even after just a cup of weak tea (nothing else), I have to go to the bathroom 4-6 times!! Has anyone had any better success with other medications?

Answers:
As far as I know Dicetel is the best for IBS-D. If you have IBS-C you can try Zelnorm.
Other than that all you can really do is watch your diet, manage your stress (its amazing what yoga or other exercise can do), and up your water intake.
