I am a cigarette smoker and have noticed little white spots on my arms. Could these be scars from falling ash?

The military acts as its own blood bank - so if you have anything that can be passed by blood they won't take you. That includes HIV and hepatitis. If you just got crabs somewhere that can be cleared up; but you should be honest with the doc because if they catch you lying about anything you could be kicked out for that.

Honestly I don't know if they let you in with HIV, but I know that they don't kick you out for HIV. And I am sure that they will let you in if you have an inactive Viral STD(herpes/HPV) but if you have sores or Syphillus, then they will want you to get treated before you start basic training.
