How long should this last? And should have an itch along with it.?

Question: My girl friend informend me a week and a half ago of a discharge coming from her vigina she says that is a greenish and yellow color. Her last doctor has done poor jobs on her last visits. We have been together a little over a year now and we both had a scare and got checked about a yeast infection, and both had nothing. Im afraid that she might have something and that I could have got it but we havent had unprotected sex in over 8 months and she is getting the symptoms now. Could it have come from her exboyfriend, he has cheated on here a few time when they were together. I have only been with here in almost the past two years and I dont want to lose here but if she has something is there a way for a relation ship to make it and be normal. She is special and her ex has done her so wrong but could this change every thing about what we have.

Im not a doctor... but i had the same symptoms and it happen to be Trichomoniasis... you should get her to go to a different gynocologist , this is very common std, and it can be cured. This std is very and i mean very uncomfortable. So you should go get rechecked as soon as possible.
