WHAAAT?? CAN'T HEAR YA!

It all depends on your hearing loss. If you have a mild to moderate degree of hearing loss or a high frequency hearing loss you may want to look at the Oticon Delta 8000 (www.my-delta.com) which incorporates digital processing, directional microphones, noise management systems and artificial intelligence.

If your hearing loss is much greater then you can try the Oticon Syncro (www.oticonus.com) which uses the same as above, but is more appropriate for greater degrees of hearing loss.

Some people have very poor understanding of words, regardless of how loud the input is. The ears bring in the sound, but the brain processes that information and gives it meaning. There is a limit to what a device can do if there is poor speech processing to begin with. Hearing aids work on the outside and cannot go into the brain and fix the processing.

Don't hesitate to get a second and third opinion when searching for the right hearing aid. All hearing aids are not alike. All dispensers are not alike. Be sure to go see an audiologist!
