My husband has Hep. B?
Question:
Answers:
A good diet is important and especially one that is rich in iron. You failed to mention his hemoglobin level and his red blood cell count which could contribute to his fatigue. His blood work is vital for a physician to be able to make any good suggestions but it may be that he will need tranfusions to supplement his own blood structure and supportive therapy to enhance his well-being. It is a complex problem that needs evaluation but that can only be done by a physician who can see him and exam him. I am a physician but I would be simply guessing at what best could help him.

You fight this the same as everyone else. Exercise, diet and coffee or tea. If he's in good physical shape and eating good healthy foods - he will have more energy despite his illness. I know this is not the advice people want to hear but I'm sure your physician has suggested the same. As for caffeine - he knows when he needs a boost - there's nothing wrong with a cup of coffee or tea to get that little extra. Just don't over do it.
Try to take mult. vitamin (take extra fiber), get on a regular exercises for 30min a day/ every other day or daily if possible (focus on strength). Some thing simple like walking on a tread mil or station bike. Try to cut down on fried food, coffee, and alcohol (those things are worsen the functioning of the liver). You need to consult the doctor, too, on how to protect yourself with intercourse (Hep. B contagious that way), get blood test to make sure you're immunized.
Good luck!
