I keep getting canker sores and I tested positive twice on an ebstien barr test, any connection?

Question:
I know this is connected to chronic fatiuge. I was in a bad marriage at one time and my arm was going numb. They thought I had multipal scelorsis. I am in a happy marraige now, but the least little stress and I get a canker sore or worse like bronchitis and have to have antibotics every time. Had only one spell where I was on the couch for three days. I walk two miles every day and don't eat sugar either and i am 49

Answers:
Yes, yes, yes. These slow viruses, be them Herpes or the one that causes Epstein Barr are all a reflection of your dysfunctional immune system, not the power of these rather manageable viruses themselves. Eliminate immunosuppressive non-foods like Wheat and Dairy (CF. www.dogtorj.net), and start taking licorice. It contains a phytonutrient which has been clinically shown to destroy both the Epstein Barr latent virus and the virus behind cold sores. Search www.pubmed.com for clinical backing for these statements of truth.

stress, medications, and tissue injury are the major stimuli to canker sores. ask your dr to prescribe a "magic mouthwash" for you, that has antibiotic, antacid, and lidocaine in it. you swish and rinse or swish and spit, depending on who you talk to about directions. it will help you when you have flare-ups. sorry, i know they are miserable. good luck!

STOP SUCKING.that should help. I don't know anything about Epstein-Barr, but I've been a long-time canker sore sufferer (40 years or so). I have found that avoiding citrus fruits has been quite helpful. While acidophilus helps for many people, it did little for me: I find that another lactobacillus strain (l. bulgaricus) works much better.

Last but definitely not least, SLS-free toothpaste has helped me a LOT. Rembrandt (special canker sore sufferer type), Squigle EnamelSaver, and Weleda were good.but I found one that not only didn't irritate but helped make sores feel better: Jason PowerSmile toothpaste. A friend turned me on to it about a year ago, and I was in the middle of a bad breakout. I decided to try it and didn't expect anything--was very surprised to find the pain lessened almost immediately and the swelling/irritation went down, also. Good luck! I feel your pain!
