Any Doctors out there ?

Question:
I am worried about my husband he has not been well for a long time but the last few weeks he has been really bad. He has had a few blood tests which show he has a low blood count and low potassium , he is really tired and is asleep most of the day and night he may wake up now and then for a drink if i make him. The GP just keeps saying see you next week. I know he needs urgent attention he will not go to hospital. Any suggestions this is serious!

Answers:
Call and talk to his GP or better yet to the Gp's nurse. Tell them he needs to be hospitalized until they can figure out what is going on. As a nurse I can tell you we have put patients in the hospital for a lot less than what your husband has going on. Keep calling..don't wait more than an hour for their call back. The more you aggravate them the quicker he will get a diagnosis..

Hope this helps!!

Have you been going to the drs with your husband? have you tried ringing nhs direct? if your husband is really worrying you take him down a & e or call the doctor out. you can never be too careful. sorry i cant be any more help. good luck. I recommend you try another doctor.

go to your GP and demand to them before next week and find out just what is wrong with him and don't leave until you are satisfied that is what we pay our taxes for.

Ok, look, go to a pharmacy shop and buy him some vitamins that contain potassium (ask the pharmacist for some vitamis for adults.)

That should do the job.
