What web site can you get a free (pain free) moniter for diabetes?

Question:
I just found out about three months ago that I had diabetes and I'm 23 years old. I don't like the idea of having to pock mysely with a neddle everyday just to get my results so I'm looking for a wed site or # so I can find a pain free moniter?

Answers:
I'm 23 also and I have diabetes. My tester is pretty much pain free it is called FreeStyle. you can get blood samples from your arm which is more comfortable for me then doing my finger. The draw back for me is that my insurance don't cover the Free style and the testing strips run about $45.00 for 50 of them! But I would rather use it then the finger kind.

OneTouch Ultra 2 it is fast and easy results in 5 seconds. Uses just a speck of blood, option to test on forearm, palm or finger tip. Blacklit display is easy to read. I found this meter to be less painful to test with and the lancet point is so fine you can't feel it when it pickes your finger. It is very easy to use.

Aug 2005, Consumer Reports did a study to judge the accuracy of meters. Perhaps you might not know that there is no standard and they can vary a lot from meter to meter.

# 1 in the Consumer Report study was One Touch Ultra Smart. # 2 was One Touch Ultra.
One Touch Ultra 2 came out last April and it's acdcuracy is top notch too.
If you order your strips from a diabete suppier you can get the meter for free...
