How do you control bad skin?

Question:
My friend has really bad spots on her face and has been to the doctors and they put her on some tablets but they have just made it worse i was just wondering how else you could prevent it instead of using antibiotics all the time.

Answers:
does she have acne? if so there are very good antibiotics - she should persevere. if she has spots she should cleanse her face at least twice a day. Use a toner after cleansing and then a moisturiser .To stop spots developing use TEA TREE oil - from chemists about £5. put a dab on finger then on the spot it will dry the spot out and it is also a natural antisceptic. It really works like magic.

Other Answers:
proper hygiene & a lot of water
Proper diet and skin cleansing would be my guess.
Rubbing my face in bacon
try using a soap that is lanolin free at least twice a day and use a moisuriser like simple baby moisuriser sparingly in the morning also
If she is old enough try a birth control pill, i really am shocked at how well mine works, my skin is fab but of course check with the doctor first to see if its suitable
wash dry dont eat crap

PROACTIVE.this really does work as I just posted to another question ---it has worked for me when all the meds the doctor prescribed did not--tell your friend to try it, or be a great friend and order it for her to surprise her, she will not be disappointed.

swear by this stuff.
Simple, put some soap on your face and then get a very steaming hot rag to wipe the soap off. Repeat this throughout the day. To get rid of blackheads, put a thin layer of elmers glue on your face, let it dry and then peel. You will be able to see the blackheads come right up! You might need to repeat the glue thing before you get rid of them all (some blackheads are very stubborn).
I've used EVERYTHING there is, which is why I can say it's all made to not work, so you'll keep buying and keep trying.

I'm doing this and it's working:
No sugar
Lots of veggies
Lots of water. I actually paid almost $100 for this Borba powder you put in water to drink that is suppossed to clear up your skin, which actually worked. However, I wasn't about to spend $100 every month for it. So I looked into vitamins.
I take Zinc, Vitamins A,C,E, and a B complex every day.
Also, wash with a mild cleanser and use a 2.5% benzyl peroxide cream followed by an oil free moisturizer.

When a person starts antibiotics to clear up spots, it can actually get worse when you first begin the treatment. Spots are your body fighting to get rid of bacteria in your skin, after the 'fight' is over a spot is formed (all the gunk is the left over from the battle). The antibiotics help your body out with the fight, so to begin with more spots may appear as your body gets rid of the bacteria.

Anyway, keep washing your face twice a day with a gentle face wash. Try to improve your diet, less junk more fresh veggies and fruit. And take all the antibiotics the doctor prescribes. Drink 1.5 to 2 litres of water a day. And the skin should improve, but you have to remember, it does take a long time for skin to clear up, there are no wonder cures that will give you clear skin in 3 days. It may take months for the skin to clear up and a life time of good habits (washing your face, not touching your skin) to keep it that way.

have patients and good luck
