My Uncle was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. What are his odds and options?

Question:

Answers:
I'm sorry to say pancreatic cancer has a very low survival rate. A small percentage of people can have an operation done to remove the tumor, although, once the cancer has spread to organs, lymph nodes or blood vessels, an operation can no longer be done. If the cancer has spread too far, ask the doctor about Pallative Procedures that will focus on making your uncle comfortable. He could also try a clinical trial, which is testing of new treatments that haven't yet shown to be effective. However, clinical trials are a good option if the cancer is advanced. I'm very sorry to hear about your uncle, but you and your family are in my prayers. Good Luck!
unfortunately it is not good news at all, pancreatic cancer has a very poor survival rate at one year, good luck
