What types of food does candida feed off of?

I am just kind of wondering about this. What kind of food does candida feed off of? What types of food do they eat? I know they eat sugar for sure. I need to know so I know what to eat now.

Candida is a single-celled fungus that is present in the intestinal tract as well as the genital tract. It feeds off of aged cheeses, alcohol,chocolate, dried fruits,fermented foods, all grains containing Gluten(wheat, rye,oats and barley) ham, honey, nut butters,pickles,potatoes,raw mushrooms,soy sauce, sprouts and vinegar.
You should eat vegetables fish and gluten-free grains such as brown rice and Millet. You should also start taking acidophilus on a daily basis to regulate the imbalance of bacteria in your gut. If you or your partner drinks beer (it contains yeast) you need to stop, this is so detrimental in trying to take care of this very rapidly bacteria.
If this is a chronic problem, you might want to be tested for diabetes or other immune system dysfunction. "The Yeast Connection" is a very good book. It has a candida test you can take to see how likely you have an over growth of candida. Good luck
